Farm Open Day

Come and find out what we do at our Farm Open Day. Learn about biodynamic farming, the work we do and how we plan to expand our amazing work. You'll also meet our animals and get a chance to feed the sheep. About us: We are a 210 acre biodynamic/organic community owned farm near Goldhanger. Our farm is home to rare breed cattle and sheep, along with bees and laying hens. We also grow vegetables, fruit and herbs. The farm is biodynamic and so managed in a holistic, ecological and ethical way. Where we are: We are nestled right by the stunning Blackwater Estuary, a mile down a farm track off the Maldon Road (B1026). Parking: Free in the farmyard (between the barns) Wheelchair friendly/drop off point by barn/disabled toilets Spaces are limited so booking in advance is essential by either phone or email.

Merchant Navy Day

Merchant Navy Day is commemorated on 3rd September. Since 2000, this annual event has been a special remembrance of the brave men and women who kept our “Island Nation” afloat during both World Wars. Here in Maldon, there will be a special service of commemoration on the Quay on 1st September 2019 at 2.00pm which everyone is welcome to attend, and during which the Town Mayor will lay a wreath on behalf of the town. Please note that there is limited residential parking on the Quay, and that visitors should use the nearest public car parks at the Promenade Park or Edward Bright Close.
